The distinctive “racing stripe” from the Mets home and road uniforms in the 1980s has been captured in cards for a few Mets players. The home version was a two-color blue and orange stripe along the shoulder and the side of the jersey and pants, while the road version was a three-color blue, orange, and white stripe. Both are considered the same for classification purposes. Throwback uniforms as recently as 2012’s ’89 throwback have featured this material.
